The Beta and App Updates
By agreeing to these terms of service you accept that you are signing up to an unfinished (beta) test version of the app. Not all features have been implemented, and although we have thoroughly tested everything, issues and bugs may remain. During the beta we will continue to update the app, and this may cause unforeseen disruptions to the service. It is also possible that we will need to take the app down for crucial maintenance at times which will prevent you from using it.
App Purpose
The intended purpose of this application is to organise, manage and participate in sport events. You recognise that our service only facilitates the organisation and participation of sporting events and the management of sports squads.
Legal
We are not responsible for what happens at these sporting events, e.g., injuries sustained while playing a match organized through our service. We are also not responsible for ensuring that your venue is available at the time you plan your event. You must make your own arrangements to secure the venue as well as pay any associated costs, where applicable, to the managing organization of the venue.
We reserve the right to remove anyone we suspect is using the application outside of its intended use. This includes anything that constitutes an illegal activity in the United Kingdom, e.g., human-trafficking, sex-work, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, abuse, racism, harassment, etc.
Safeguarding Children
We strongly believe that football is for everyone. However, we currently do not have the resources to ensure the safeguarding and safety of children. For this reason, you must be over the age of 16 to register an account. You can read our justification for this decision
here.
Guidelines
Squad names and nicknames are customizable within the app. Squad names help your squad members identify your group. Nicknames allow squad members to differentiate between each other, especially when players share the same name and initials. In most cases nicknames will not be needed. Our guideline is: would a professional footballer be allowed to use this nickname on the back of their shirt?
Furthermore, squad names and nicknames are not opportunities to express offensive, derogatory, or hateful views. We do not feel it is within the spirit of the app to use either of these as spaces to garner monetary gain or increased publicity, e.g., marketing your business, cause, website, social media handles, etc. However, it is acceptable for colleagues to use their place of work as the name of their squad.
If we discover that you are using a name we feel goes against this agreement, we will request you change the name. Subsequent breaches of this will lead to a permanent removal of your account.
Intectual Property
Do not collect or harvest data from us, reverse engineer our systems, modify or copy the app in anyway, or attempt to bypass our security features. All intellectual property related to Squad Assist belongs to Squad Assist Limited, as well as all copyright, including the logo, design and functionality of the app. We will legally pursue anyone who attempts to infringe this in anyway.
For information on how we collect and use your personal data, please refer to our
Privacy Policy. As Squad Assist grows we may need to amend these terms of service. This page will always be kept up to date with the latest version of our Terms of Service.
